Console Projects >> You Don't Know Jack Controller v2

Recap

This re-do of the original YDKJ Controllers was a long time coming, and I'm glad I got it done. Condensing everything to just the Button Box with a single USB cable for hookup not only made it easier to wire, easier to store, and easier to hook up, but it also went a very long way toward making this a lot more "professional"-looking. And plus, it was fun to do to. All in all, I'm really happy with the way that it turned out.

Of course, on it's maiden gameplay voyage, my wife completely trounced my ass in YDKJ, especially in the Jack Attack. I'd love to blame the new YDKJ Controller for it, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Ah well. It all works out in the end though, since I still have the high score in Centipede on the MAME cabinet. :)

Again, if you like playing You Don't Know Jack, I would highly recommend doing something like this yourself. It really breathes new life into YDKJ, and like I said before, this thing goes over really well at parties: playing YDKJ turns into a social event at gatherings, you don't have to be a "gamer" to enjoy it, and it really draws in the spectators.

Just remember that...

You Don't Know Jack.
